Traveling Is such a fun experience, the beautiful sites, the wonderful culture, and of course THE FOOD! I am such a foodie, & love to try new things to eat. The first night in San Francisco we went to the pier and ate dinner at Cafe 8. Sea Food is my absolute favorite, and the fact that this city is known for it made my mouth salivate for some food. The ambiance of the space is very nautical. Walking into the restaurant you see cute little tables covered in red and white checkered table clothS surrounded by wooden chairs and the view of the ocean on both stories of the building. I felt as if I was on a boat in the 1940’s which I saw so retro and cool. The Server was so nice and efficient. For starters we had fried calamari, and fried green beans. Forget French fries, fried green beans are the business! They seasoned both starters so well and of course it tastes amazing wit cocktail and tauter sauce. I ordered a glass of wine, Cabernet, & for my main course a boiled king crab, spicy. Let me start off by apologizing for not capturing this amazing meal, I DUG IN once it hit the table!

The next day the craving was real for some pizza. The funny thing is that my friends and I decided to go to a vegan burger joint, but they they ended up being closed since it was the New Year. I looked across the street and saw a store front named, “Bizza,” and said we should check it out. It was a great option because they also had vegan options, however I was going all in on this trip and was getting me a cheesy pizza. The vibe was so youthful and modern, music blasting, people talking and just the smell of cheese melting on crusted pizza bread just makes you feel welcomed. On the wall there was a scroll that explained the meaning of, “Bizza,” which is derived from the Mediterranean pronunciation of, “Pizza.” It has a radiance of Mediterranean taste, and after reading the scroll I decided to order the Mediterranean slice which includes, Olive Oil, Fresh Zaatar Thyme, Tomato, Black Olives, Crumbled Feta, & Mozzarella. These are not just regular dominos sized pizzas, these are legit New York style slices. How I ate it all I do not know butI tell you, you must try out this spot if you are ever in San Francisco.

You can never go hungry when you visit this city. There are so many options to choose from and it does not disappoint, the customer service is also amazing and different from Los Angeles because they actually take the time to talk to you and seem so appreciative when you compliment there food and service. I can not wait to go back, try new eateries, and to share it with y’all!
Thank you! I will definitely try it next time, I love shrimp & grits!
The next time you go, visit “Brenda’s French soul Food,” on Polk street 😭❗️ The first time I enjoyed shrimp and grits 😍
